Engage!15 Four Seasons Orlando
It was a full-circle moment for Engage! when circumstance led them to their own backyard for Engage!15 Four Seasons Orlando. Rebecca and Kathryn first met at Disney, when they created and grew the Disney Fairy-Tale Weddings program. They still have close family ties to the Disney community (and live in nearby Celebration), so the chance to share that with the Engage! community was special indeed.
Things started with a whimsical welcome party themed to Alice in Wonderland, complete with colorful tent displays from Raj Tents & TentLogix, bourbon-spiked Mad Hatter’s Tea and chalkboard reminders that “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
The next day, on the main stage, Todd Fiscus gave an insightful look into how his luxury clients allocate their budgets, Dane Sanders spoke about the power of creating your own narrative, Britain’s own Sarah Heywood warned of the perils of getting what you wish for, and a candid Barbara Corcoran shared her path to success as well as Shark Tank dish.
But nothing could match the surprise of the day. After a day of sessions and popular lunch dine-arounds came the big announcement, complete with an appearance by the Dapper Dans, a marching band and Minnie and Mickey themselves: Everyone was invited to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom! Decked out in custom Engage! t-shirts, mouse ears and striped backpacks, the world’s top luxury event pros embraced their inner children, riding roller coasters and oohing at fireworks until the park closed at midnight.
The third morning included a variety of targeted breakout sessions, on everything from team-building, destination wedding practicalities and a social-media intensive. Then, after an afternoon at leisure, everyone dressed to the nines for a stunning gala presented by Jose Graterol Designs, and a killer band from West Coast Entertainment. It was a magical end to a very special Engage!
