To our Engage! community and future Engage! attendees,
We are listening, learning, and evolving.
We have expanded our circle of trusted advisors pertaining to all aspects of Engage!, with a dedicated focus on diversity and inclusion. We appreciate those who have taken time to share their thoughts, advice, and most importantly, their hearts. We are committed to the evolution, expansion, and growth of our Engage! community, focusing on how we can be better together, positively impacting the global wedding industry in-turn.
As a starting point, and with our next Engage! Summit five months away, we have identified key areas where we will be acutely focused on a commitment to diversity and inclusion in our business.
We have curated the most diverse speaker lineup to-date for Engage!20 The Breakers, highlighting wedding and event industry professionals in the Black, Latinx, Asian, and LGBTQ+ communities. This roster features talents from within the Engage! community, as well as diverse thought-leaders from outside the industry.
Moving forward, we will continue to be intentional in our research and selection of an inclusive lineup of speakers and media partners to provide thoughtful, diverse, and high-value content to our global attendees.
PROGRAMMING
We will expand our program offerings to include topics related to diversity, inclusion, and racial equality within our industry.
CREATIVE PARTNERS + PHOTO/VIDEO TEAMS
We will make a dedicated effort to expand our roster of creative partners, including the photo and video teams at Engage!, to be proactively inclusive of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color) and LGBTQ+-owned businesses, as well as talent local to our Engage! Summit destinations.
THE ENGAGE! FOUNDATION
We will continue to seek out and focus our efforts on giving back to the local communities we visit as well as those under-represented in the event community and in our world. Our philanthropic efforts will be proactively inclusive of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ founded organizations.
We are committed to making Engage! an event where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and celebrated. You will see the change.
