I’m Neillie Butler, the founder and Executive Planner of Mariée Ami. As a child, I struggled with some learning challenges early on in school and during college, I battled 3 rounds of Desmoid Sarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer. I started Mariée Ami in the height of the economic crisis in 2009, with just a few dollars to my name that I used to purchase a computer from Sam’s Club. The subsequent years were spent growing the business with a scrappy yet resourceful mindset; hiring smart women who shared my philosophy on client service still contributes to a large part of our success as a company.

Today, Mariée Ami has blossomed into a successful business with eight creative full-time employees who embody our core mission to act as “a bride’s friend” which is what Mariée Ami translates to in French. Mariée Ami is a premier full-service wedding planning and design studio in Birmingham, Alabama, producing unique celebrations throughout the Southeast and worldwide. We are honored that Mariée Ami has been recognized as one of the nation’s premiere event planning and design firms by notable media including BRIDES Magazine, Veranda and The New York Times.
