Meredith Waga Perez

Founder & Creative Director, Belle Fleur NY

When Calvin Klein offered to arrange a weekend floral apprenticeship for his womenswear designer, Meredith Waga Perez, surely he could not have known that he was planting the seed for what would become one of Manhattan’s most celebrated floral design studios.

A few months later, lush bouquets bursting with peonies, ranunculus, garden roses and sweet peas – meticulously arranged in what would become the Belle Fleur signature – were popping up on the desks of every magazine editor in town, decorating the living rooms of the city’s most stylish hostesses, and transforming the ballrooms of New York’s most magnificent galas and weddings.

Fast forward 20 years: Belle Fleur has earned the distinction of being a trusted floral atelier with features in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, O Magazine, W and The New York Times.

Meredith believes in living life fully immersed in the beauty of aromatic flowers and created an interior fragrance division with a luxury line of scented candles, reed diffusers and room sprays. Belle Fleur’s most recent product launch, Aeromyst, is a high-tech fragrance delivery system, enhancing large and small spaces with distinct aroma for a memorable sensorial experience. She collaborated with a French perfumer in Grasse for an olfactive collection that Town & Country Magazine refers to as “inhaling bouquets”. Events are all about custom curation; scenting spaces is an innovative and current approach to personalizing all occasions and elevating the experience for both the client and their guests.
