Lisa Gooder is the general manager Brides, overseeing all aspects of the brand. In May, Brides was acquired by Dotdash | IAC, one of the largest publishers on the Internet, committed to helping people find answers, solve problems, and get inspired. Prior to the acquisition, Lisa was executive director of Brides at Conde Nast, where she was the editor of Brides Magazine and lead Brides.com and the brand’s social media channels.
Lisa originally joined the brand in 2011 to revamp Brides.com and grow its online and social audiences. During her tenure, Lisa helped modernize the brand and take the website to new levels, expanding digital content across all platforms and growing the audience to 5 million unique visitors per month. Under Lisa’s leadership, Brides.com received a Society of Publication Designers award for editorial design excellence in 2017, and in both 2013 and 2014 Brides Live Wedding won a min award for Best Social Media Initiative.
Lisa began her career in weddings as one of the earliest employees of The Knot where she worked for 10 years. She also previously held posts at Associated Content and CaféMom.
She is a graduate of Brown University and lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
