The Knot, the company’s flagship brand, is known for chic, up-to-date editorial and a rich local vendor marketplace on the web; best-selling magazines and books; and the #1 mobile wedding app. The first and by far most popular wedding website, The Knot revolutionized the wedding industry, not only by bringing it into the digital age, but also by being the first brand to fight for same-sex weddings, and to provide ongoing editorial content for couples of color.

Carley is passionate about empowering women in business and female entrepreneurs. She advises many start ups and is on the board of directors of Rent the Runway. She speaks on entrepreneurship, digital content, communities and marketing at conferences around the world and has been a regular lifestyle expert on TV shows such as Today, Kelly, and Oprah. She’s a native of RI, a graduate of NYU, and lives in BKLYN with her husband, co-founder David Liu, and three children.
