Gifted with a natural sense of grace, and a passion for creating and celebrating beauty all around her, Zainab has always considered herself a true citizen of the world. Multi-lingual and multi- cultural, she was born in Baghdad and raised in Europe and the Middle East, and today, she calls Dubai, the US and Italy home.

Zainab obtained her degree in Business Administration and Finance from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1996, graduating with distinction, and started her professional career as a banker with the National Bank of Dubai, however, she quickly realized this was not her calling. Her desire to see people happy and to play an instrumental role in making them so, was one of the driving forces that led her out of banking, and into the wonderful world of weddings. A gifted communicator with a keen business sense, Zainab was able to compliment her unbound creative passion with real world pragmatism and a strong business and organizational foundation, to create her luxury wedding boutique, Carousel.

Never willing to compromise between family and career, she will soon be celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary, and is a devoted mother of three sons. She is also the only sister to three brothers, and adores being treated like the princess of her extended family. She loves to bake, and has always thrown parties and dinners that leave her family and friends reeling. If she wasn’t a wedding planner, she would almost certainly have become a baker – and maybe one day she will.

Zainab has made it her life’s calling to create weddings that are amazingly unique and distinct, and her own personal happiness comes from seeing the joy she brings to her brides and grooms, and their families, and sharing it with them. She loves being part of the amazing celebration of love and the outpouring of joy that weddings are. It is truly what motivates her when she designs and plans each and every one of her weddings. Zainab has also become one of the most respected authorities in the Middle East on all things wedding, and has been covered, and quoted, in countless regional and international programs and publications, in various languages, in radio, television, print, and online. She has also been recognized on numerous occasions as one of Dubai’s leading female entrepreneurs.

Through Zainab’s vision and her passion, through her love of people and her compassion, and through her attention to detail and her personal grace, Carousel has become one of the most highly sought after boutique wedding agencies in the Middle East, and a true inspiration for Middle Eastern women of her generation, and the generations that follow.
