Catherine Mead is a renowned wedding and celebrity portrait photographer based in the U.K. Amongst the most highly sought after photographers, she regularly shoots across Asia, America, the Middle East and Europe.

Catherine has a degree in photography from the University of Westminster, London and from the age of 19, began a career as a photojournalist for the national press. As a staff photographer she was sent to cover news, sport, portraits & features assignments and her work was published daily. She later went freelance and was soon commissioned to shoot her first wedding, which was to be published widely and establish her reputation within the wedding industry.

Catherine specialises in destination weddings, and has photographed weddings across the world, from intimate elopements in Bora Bora and the Cotswolds, to Zoe Saldana’s secret European wedding, to 400 guest exclusive weddings in Cairo, Marrakech, Montenegro, Belize and beyond.

Her suitcase is permanently packed, flying around the globe to celebrities’ homes in order to take their portraits for Madame Tussauds, whose sculptors then use Catherine’s real life portraits to sculpt from, and bring the celebrity figure to life!

In her spare time she enjoys teaching scuba diving, is a self confessed spin class addict and can usually be bribed with chocolate….
