Susan Moynihan, Traveler in Chief, The Honeymoonist, Inc

Few people know romance travel like Susan Moynihan. A graduate of University of Maryland at College Park, Susan Moynihan started her publishing career in New York City at Women’s Day, where she wrote her first travel story on a now-defunct hotel in Puerto Rico. After moving to Conde Nast, she covered the luxury honeymoon market and the growing trend of destination weddings as travel editor for Modern Bride and Elegant Bride. In 2005 she relocated to Florida to become editor in chief of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine, where she interacted with thousands of couples and event pros around the world. She has also been editor on chief of SPA magazine and remains editor at large of Modern Luxury Brides/South Florida and The Caribbean. Through all of this, she has maintained a consistent travel schedule, scouting destinations and hotels around the world. Her firsthand knowledge of destinations and her distinct editorial eye gives her unique perspective in the travel industry, and unparalleled contacts around the world.

In 2014 she started The Honeymoonist, Inc., a travel company and website devoted exclusively to romance travel. In addition to luxury honeymoons and special-occasion trip planning, she handles travel for some of the top wedding planners in the United States, as well as wedding travel for personal clients. She has appeared as a travel expert on the Travel Channel and Lifetime TV networks, and spoken about the business of romance travel at conferences including Travel Classics, Destination Hotels Travel Summit, Travel Industry Exchange and the Engage! Luxury Wedding Business Summit.
